Hello, lovely people. I'm so excited to finally be able to introduce you to 'Sea Proche', my latest (Covid interrupted) project and a significant new departure for Stella Says - a beautiful seaside getaway on the sunny Isle of Wight!
Sea Proche is a quintessential example of a Victorian Semi and I've renovated it to be perfect for an English seaside holiday. The house is situated in a quiet corner of Sandown,- a small town on the eponymous Sandown Bay - and a minutes walk from stunning golden beaches, as well as a seafront 'promenade', some great entertainment, restaurants and of course, Sandown's charming Victorian pier.
I admit I've totally fallen for the romance of the Island; with the ferry ride, it feels like a proper getaway, though from the center of Town to the peace of the seaside takes me just 3 hours....I can leave the environs of London at 4:30 on a Friday and I'm in the house in time for gin and tonics on the terrace at 7:45!
Anyhow dear reader, the point of this missive is that since I can't be in the house all the time due to commitments nearer London, and given the craziness of the holiday situation this year, I've decided that I'm going to make the property available as a getaway for a few other people as well. That way, I can share the space with you lovely people and still have a lovely place to run away to...when one of you hasn't beaten me to it of course!
Obviously well behaved and suitably charming dogs are absolutely welcome and there are some terrific walks just outside the door: just let me know.
